Kanha Tiger Reserve, also called
Kanha National Park, is one of the tiger reserves of India. Kanha National Park one of the largest
national park and tourist destinations in India for both national and
international traveler situated in Madhya Pradesh. This park covers an area of
940 square kilo meters in its core area, with another 1005 square kilo meters
serving as the buffer zone with 150 odd villages strewn amidst it. This area
used to be popular as a hunting ground during the British rule in India, but it
has gained in prominence post independence as a sanctuary for wild life
conservation.
