10 Bollywood Movies That Make You Travel

There are a number of movies that actually inspire and motivate you to pack your bags and let you fly offvel to the destinations shown in these movies. Many of the people consider travelling as a passion and there are some of who are not able to fulfill this dream of exploring their main dream destinations. When a movie shows up a destination that is also one of your favourite destinations or on your wish list, all you'd want to do is pack your bags and run away to that particular destination.
If you want some motivation in planning your next travel destination, closely watch out for some travel related Bollywood movies. Many of the recent movies have done exceedingly well in capturing some beautiful and popular places.


Here are some of the list of the Bollywood Movies that have inspired and motivated many people to travel. They are as follows:

1. QUEEN:
It captures what most of the Middle Class population in the country wish to travel to their dream destinations. Many of them are unable to fulfill that and money isn't the only sole reason behind this. Social pressures make woman find it tough to travel alone. It is a fascinating film that captures the city of Amsterdam and Paris very well. Looking at the places in the movie, one would certainly want to book their next flight to Paris and Amsterdam.

2. ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA:
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara has been shot in some of the most exotic and fascinating locations in Spain. From Barcelona to the tiny towns of the country. The group of friends go on a road trip and in maximum part of the movie, you'll be jaw dropped watching the spectacular view of Spain, while they travel through the countryside. This movie was inspired the whole young generation to travel like they do in the movie.

3. DIL CHAHTA HAI:
If Goa is in your wish list as a travel destination, you'll certainly want to go there as soon as you watch this movie. The movie is about the friends and how they travel to Goa. You might certainly want to pack your bags and also ask your buddies to accompany you for a road trip to Goa. Dil Chahta Hai has also been shot in Sydney.

4. ANJAANA ANJAANI:
This movie is about all the things you want to do in your lifetime before you die. It includes a lot of destinations. New York, Las Vegas, Thailand and Malaysia. Some exotic and cosmopolitan destinations out there.

5. HIGHWAY:
Highway surely hasn't been a commercial success, but certainly makes you hit the road. Most of the men can relate to it better. The reason behind this is, if you're a travel junkie, surely you must have travelled by truck once in your life. This movie covers many of the spectacular destinations within the country.

6. DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE:
This was actually the movie that set the trend of shooting abroad for Bollywood Movies. The movie also helped London in a way to make it more popular among Indians. It is one of the biggest Bollywood movies till date. Bus rides, car cruises, train travel are an important part of the movie.

7. 3 IDIOTS:
The movie "3 Idiots" was shot in some of the spectacular destinations in India. Ranging from Christ Church in Shimla, out here Madhavan asks about rancho's address, Shimla, Ladakh, Solan, Bangalore. The picturesque view of the Indus river from over the bridge, when Madhavan calls Kareena to inform about Aamir Khan. The movie makes you feel like going to the hills, because of the fascinating views shown.

8. BARFI:
Darjeeling is a beautiful place to be, but it was adorable in Barfi. It made us certain to pack our bags and buzz off to this picturesque place. Barfi had a lot of effect on people and no wonder it bagged a lot of awards. The movie takes you to the misty mornings of Darjeeling and it's magical slopes. The movie showcased the famous Clock Tower, Glenary's cafe and the toy trains of Darjeeling. An amazing movie that makes you fall in love with Darjeeling.

9. CHENNAI EXPRESS:
In between the laughs and dangerous turns in the movie, Rohit shetty gives the audience some absolutely breathtaking landscapes to look at it with admiration. The movie has been shot beautifully with aerial views, the Dudhsagar falls in Goa are just one of the destinations from a variety of other places in the movie. The amazing hill town of Munnar was shown beautifully in a song in the movie with Tea Gardens. The movie shows the beauty of South India.

10. YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI:
Like the character of Ranbir Kapoor, everybody now wants to travel the world. But the main thing is, his heart at last ties him to India. Encompassed by dense forests and shing in the white glory, Gulmarg's snow filled peaks are scenic as well as adventurous. The song, "Subhan Allah" showcases some amazing views of the place. Though Gulmarg was shown as Manali in the first part of the movie, the movie not only showed these amazing Himalayan landscapes, but also motivated many people in the country to grab their bags and go off for adventurous treks. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani unfolds as a holiday romance in places like the Udaipur's City Palace and the Chittorgarh Fort.

The movie is about the friendship bond and it is very much based on travel. Ranbir Kapoor's character in the movie wants to travel the world and he succeeds in doing that by being the host for a travel show on Fox Traveller. If you want to be inspired to travel, definitely watch this movie. It is absolutely a must watch movie for travel buffs.
